Legend of Tamii-Chapter 3

Chapter 3 - Light and Dark

A piercing scream interrupted the sweet silence that Kandy and Fang sat in, both covering their sensitive ears.

“W-What was that…?!” asked Kandy, trembling.

Fang stood up, and slowly stepped towards the hidden darkness of the trees.

“Stay here Kandy, I’ll go look…” he said, soon out of the purple rabbit’s sight.

With the scream stopping, Kandy shivered from the now suddenly cold breeze that blew. The silence was no longer heavenly but terrifying. Kandy’s sensitive ears seemed to pick up a low menacing growl, before she heard Fang’s voice.

“KANDY!! RUN QUICKLY!!”

Kandy wasted no time in flapping her ears and flying into the dark sky, adrenalin rushing. She turned her head to see Fang wrestling with some white creature with huge wings.

Back on the ground, Fang was struggling to keep a grip on the possessed cat, the fact that his claws were so long and sharp one scratch could make a serious wound. The pupiless feline smirked at the weasel.

“It’s useless Death!! Xerus rules this planet!” he hissed.

Fang blinked, shocked.

“W-What did you call me…?!!”

The demonic cat couldn’t reply, Fang was suddenly knocked from view by a blur of silvery metal. This metal like glove pinned Fang by the scruff of his neck to a tree. He struggled to release himself, as he watched desperately as the so called  “Xerus” flew off after his girlfriend.

“KANDY!! DON’T WORRY, I’LL SAVE YOU!!” cried Fang, watching with tears as the cat finally caught hold of the rabbit and flew out of sight.

“You idiot…you got in the way, now he escaped…” growled a low and cold voice.

The weasel turned his head to see the owner of the voice. There stood a creature, who’s fur was many shades of blue. The first thing Fang noticed was the fact that the being had only one paw, the other being only a stump. Around his neck her wore a turquoise scarf, and his dark blue hair was hung in a pony tail.

“Excuse me?! If you hadn’t attacked me, I might have been able to save Kandy!” Fang protested, shaking his head in disbelief.

The blue furred creature walked towards him, and hastily pulled the silver glove from the tree, making Fang drop to the ground with a thud. Fang watched as the other being carefully slipped the glove over his stump, then releasing a button. The button made sharp needles lodge into the stump, to keep the glove in place. Fang shivered as he saw blood drip from the glove, but the blue creature didn’t seemed fazed by it.

“Who the hell are you?” asked Fang, standing up.

The other male brushed dirt off his fur which didn’t seem to exist, only to pass pointless seconds.

“I am Light Tamii, Deruu. Now leave now weasel, you are no match for Xerus” said the Tamii.

“What do you mean ‘No match’? He has Kandy, of course I am going to go after him!!” growled Fang.

The two males stared at each other, the only sound being the blood still dripping from Deruu’s glove. Then sharp gasping was heard, as the sound of flying was heard. The alerted two turned their heads to see a three tailed fox flying towards them.

“Turbo! Thank God you’re here! Kandy’s in trouble and I ne-”

Fang was cut off in his sentence however, as Turbo gazed at the blue Tamii.

“Well I’ll be an echidna’s cousin!! It really is you, the Light Tamii from legend!” gasped Turbo. “This is a great discovery! You really do exist!”

“HELLO??!! TURBO KANDY NEEDS OUR HELP!!” yelled Fang, finally getting the fox’s attention.

“You two are wasting my time…each minute Xerus roams the planet, the more stronger her gets!” snarled Deruu, turning his back on the two.

“Now wait there! You may not think much of us, but Kandy is my neice! Since YOU will know where this Xerus guy is, YOU can lead us to her” Turbo said, grabbing hold of Deruu’s bleeding arm.

Deruu turned his head, to glare at Turbo with cold eyes. Turbo wouldn’t back down though, and offered the Tamii a warm smile. Fang waited for a response.

“…Fine…but the female is probably dead any how…just don’t slow my down”

With that, Deruu continued to walk, Fang and Turbo running after him, as the sun started to rise over the fields, a new journey began. One that could decide the planets’ fate….forever….
